Air condition raw water bleed off valve PVC & Brass !

I am doing a bleed off valve for my a/c raw water side, but i am wonder if i should use PVC schedule 80 or Brass fittings for the installation of the design. It is going to  be under the water line. So any ideas will be appreciated like always. thx

You have a seacock on the thru Hull inlet right?  I don't see an issue with that bleed off being PVC.  If it breaks you still have the main shutoff.

My only problem with PVC ball valves is they can be really stiff to turn sometimes.  I have a bleed off and it's bronze I think.  Same as a seacock bit the valve is smooth

yes, skennelly,  I have the thru hull with a ball vlv on brass, and i just finish reading a boatus recommendation about plumbing fitting under the water line and they specify bronze in anything below water line, so I am going to use bronze for my bleed off set up.

what is the best marine hose for a marine a/c raw water?

Your local marine store like west marine will carry marine approved ac tubing.   

I don't know thay there is a best, unlike sanitation hoses where you can you can judge the quality with your nose. 

Fwiw I also have the plastic bleeder valve.  I don't mind it being pvc as the thru hull is brass.  If l left open in a slip all the time like in sunny Miami, I can see upgrading to brass being a no brainer.

The hose from the thru Hull through the strainer and to the pump needs to be hard walled fo prevent collapse. after the pump it does not need to be hard walled. This is what i use to the pump:
