I have a Question to Generator´s . Wich Generator can you recommend ? Does anyone know this Champion Mightyatom 2500 Inverter Power Generator ? I have 3 shortlisted so far : Champion / Denqbar / Honda . The Generator should possible also be used at Home if necessary . What have you good experiences ? Thank´s !
@Pat310: Yes , that would be nice if the Generator would work . That's why
I came up with the Champion Generator with 1900 watts of continuous output. But
if he couldn't create the climate either, then I'd rather go for Honda.
I believe it is the start up that is the problem. I remember someone on this site talking about a soft start mechanism that can be installed on the air conditioner to allow it to run on the small generator
So question about installation...I will be re installing my carpet, carpet snaps are installed. How do I transfer to the floor to put those snaps in the right spot?
i would do this with water soluble paint.
this is especially difficult for me to explain with the translator.
but the google translator is far better than my english from school 45 years ago

You mean new caret with snaps in already? And they don’t align with the male parts already?
You don’t need paint. Just use your thumb or your foot to push the carpet down onto the snap. Then pull the carpet up quickly, and you will see a small dent in the rubber backing where the snap was.
We installed new cockpit Berber carpets this summer and it came with the snaps loose. Decided to lay it without installing them and found they stay in place, also easier to remove for cleaning the deck.
We also renewed our carpet and opted for the Velor Teak design. I also wanted to transfer the existing press studs first. But I didn't do this because the carpet holds up so well. The only thing would be the small thin strip to the door on the bathing platform. We just don't have that piece of carpet.
It actually works very well with no snaps.
They fit fine on my windshield (2008 330). In this pic, you can see that the plastic insert is all the way in the groove (I didn’t have the screw all the way in yet). Also the groove looks much deeper than the Sea Ray pics you posted.

They patterned the new carpet from the old and put the snaps in best they could- can't imagine they will align . So I can't impression the carpet backing and doing this in reverse. They only had the carpet and not the boat..
