Looks great @LaRea!  It is very tricky for me to get the freezer out because of my ice maker not allowing the door to open all the way, but I now know the trick.  I have to remove all the shelves first.  I doubt I will take out the freezer, but nice to have the option.

How's your fridge attached to the boat?  Is there a support underneath to hold the weight, or is it just the screws through the flange?

My cockpit fridge and icemaker are attached with screws only.

On my 280, it was just screwed through the flange.

I know my fridge actually sits on plywood under it (I had to remove the front rubber feet for it to sit right).  The ice maker though I believe is just on the flange, but it is close to sitting on plywood too.

My galley fridge sits on plywood. I'll find out this week about the cockpit fridge when I remove it for maintenance.

I want to remove the ice making fridge and get a Fridge/Freezer combo where it can be a full freezer or full fridge.

I tried to do two side-by-side fridge/freezers but the space wasn't big enough :(

So, I thought I’d bring this topic back up since I was able to get my hands on another used fridge that had issues.  I took the ac/dc converter off of it and installed on my old fridge.  I also had to the thermostat/light fixture off the other one since I had parted those out.  Well the fridge now works on both ac and dc, but I believe the problem with the other fridge was the thermostat.
I’m in a dilemma, do I buy a thermostat and try to sell a used working fridge or do I piece it and I’m sure I’ll find someone that might but the converter?  I hate to junk two fridges, knowing both of their issues could be fixed.  I bet I know what @Cableguy Greg would say😉

I sold my good working original (2008) cockpit fridge for $400 USD.

That’s a good price.  Maybe it actually is worth buying a thermostat for it.
