Translation of that ad:  for $12k, you can get a rebuilt 454 on a pallet, plus a B3 outdrive and brand new transom assembly ... but you have to take the hull with them!

I actually like the hull and the b3.  Not a fan of the 502 block he has built for it as I'm not a fan of gas motors.   

Even with a 502 I bet it would struggle to hit 30mph.

I could live on that boat. If I bought it I would have to live in it, but I could do it.  I called him and I'm sending a check to Nigeria and it soon will be mine!

$15k to buy, $20k to replace both outdrives and transoms, $15k for other stuff that comes up during reno.  For $50k, you've made it bullet-proof.  In a few years, sell it before corrosion takes over, and get back most of your investment.  

In the meantime, you have a 28-knot boat with a shower stall.  I can think of worse liveaboards.

nooo thanjk you the boat stays in the water year round.. no rest period to touch things up.. dont even want an inboard or vdrives really..

Absolute 48 Navetta. Buddy of mine literally just bought one brand new and brought it from Jeff beach back to our marina two weeks ago. She certainly stands out on the docks. Nice boat.
