U-Line Ice maker

Can I just remove this uline icemaker from the freezer or is it part of the cooling loop?

    You can remove the icemaker portion from the freezer.  Sure looks like that one melted.

    Whoa, that one is toast.  Yes you can remove it but the cooling coil under it will remain. You can also replace the ice module with a generic one on amazon. They fit perfectly but will require a small wiring mod to the harness. I just did mine this weekend.

    I'm all set had to jumper a wire on the harness to get the freezer to work.
