Spring boat launch - maybe in May..late May :D

Well we got about 9 inches of the heaviest snow you can imagine last night. Don't think this winter will ever end.The boat is scheduled to go in April 7th and there is still several inches of ice in the basin. It's supposed to warm up this week but I've got to believe the marina will push back the start of splashing boats.

Snow, Ice and boat launches don't go together. April 7 is 1 week away. I'd push it back.

I was out at the marina on Sat, the whole lake it still ice covered. My May launch time is looking better. lol

Installed the docks this weekend at my Yacht Club. Has not stopped raining in 3 days and still going........WTF will the weather ever get better?????????????

Tuesday morning and still freaking raining. If this had been snow we would have had about 4 feet. Hopefully all the rain falls now and not on boating season......

Moved snow banks and now the boat is out of storage and in the driveway. Splash is getting closer and closer!

Well I splashed last Tuesday 4/8. The weather was high 30's, rain and windy,not fun. The weather has gotten better each day this week with a expected high of 79 today. This Tuesday its supposed to get to  40 for high and down to low 20's and snow at night. I'm beginning to hate Tuesdays.

We have 18" of ice still on our lake as of yesterday....brrrrr.

Well, I spent the last 3 days relaxing on the boat. Was a bit windy pulling backing in the slip today, but hard to complain about that. Good luck to all of you still dealing with the ice.

The marina lake is clear of ice today as far as I could tell (foggy) but Lake Mich still has a lot of ice around. Downside is the ice too a toll on the docks with several heaved 4-6 feet up, pilings totally pulled out and the smaller slip dock is really trashed. Not sure how that's going to affect launching yet.

MichaelT, We're dealing with the same problem. All kinds of debris floating down the river into the lake. One of the fishing charter boats hit a submerged log Sunday, bent both props. I'm going to enjoy the boat at the slip for awhile and let things clear up a bit.

Actually...no. Just had a week of skiing in Utah last week. I still have work to complete on my boat, so this helps take the pressure off needing to launch in days instead of weeks.

We officially broke the record for snow total here in Detroit. Got another couple inches last night.

Sunday it was 75* and thunderstorms. WTF!!!

Here in Belleville On it has been snowing all day and ice is still on Bay of Quinte. YUK

Drove by Little Traverse Bay off Lk Mich )NW Michigan) today, totally froze over still. Skiing is good still up here!
