new genny problem, water impeller does not turn and pump...

    I should probably just change mine this winter too since I need to replace the impeller for the upcoming season anyways.  Just a major PITA to get at mine..the genset is mounted way forward close to the firewall and you have to use your Helen Keller skills to work on it as it is almost impossible to see.  The sound enclosure adds to the troubles, but you have to lay over the genset to work on the pump, so I keep it on, sans access panel.

    I have a 2000 270 the generator doesn't look like that but I think I have the same issue. Went to check mine last Wednesday, prepping for a overnight trip and no water flow.

    Kohler part 359448.....$14.00 and 20 minutes to fix it. another half hour looking for the dropped socket in the bilge LOL.
