As of right now I'm planning my trip up to st Clair July 20 the through the 26th. I know its during the middle of week but doesn't mean I can't take a second trip up their during a weekend. Its about a 2 hour boat trip for me. If any other tinker owners are around that week I'll be at Algonac harbor club and at st Clair metro marina. Someone throw a date out their and if were free that weekend we will be their. I always like to "plan my summer on the boat before people plan it for me". Its easy to tell people sorry got a boat tripped planned.

Hey Skippers, Rick at Hideaway Yacht Sales and I are thinking about sponsoring a Rinker Owners Night Out at the Metro Park Marina in Harrison Twp towards end of July for a Friday & Saturday night. Wanted to see how much interest we can generate?!?! Food will be catered and Hideaway will have 10 or so new Rinker Boats for display. So what do you think?!?!?!

How far of a trip would that be from sandusky to harrison Twp

If Google earth is accurate, it'd be just under 100 miles, give or take. There's not any no-wake zones, so you could cruise at speed the entire distance (weather permitting of course).

From Sandusky to metro I would guess about a little over a 3 hour boat ride with calm waters cruising at 28. It takes me hour and half to cruse to sandusky. And about that or a little longerr to get to metro from my dock. I'm right next to Fermi nuclear plant in swan creek. Its a nicer ride back through the Detroit river because you would be going with the current. Big change in fuel consumption going with that current verse going up river

Hope we can generate enough interest, we might even get Rinker involved! We are still sorting out all the details but it will definitely be an event that you don't want to miss.

Sounds fun we would be up to going

There is a good chance I could make it over for the event.  I'll be docked in northern MI but could trailer to st clair.   By the way Rick, I'm looking forward to picking up my new boat from you pretty soon here!

Do any of you guys near St Clair Shores suggest anyone that can lube a 7.4/bravo 3 properly?   I kinda wanted to stay away from the marina shops just because I wanted to see how its done
     thanks guys

You mean just the outdrive oil? Or greasing the coupler too? Both are easier than you think.

I have changing the outdrive oil down,  the things like greasing the zerks, Im not sure where all the fittings are hidden and which grease to use.
Basicly anything that needs lube in the outdrive/motor and steering I could use a lesson on.

I can pay someone to help me out,  with money or beer

Anybody been up to the Les Cheneaux Islands?  I'm considering a trip with camping on government island (only accessible by boat).
