acc switch

2000 rinker 242 fiesta vee. What does the acc switch beside the cabin light switch do?

    Probably nothing. It might be prewired for a washdown pump or a swim light. There might be a wiring diagram on here for the 242. If not, email Cindy Scott at Rinker and see if she will send it to you. They are very helpful to have.

    ACC normally means it is meant for an option that your boat doesn't have. A lot of the time, Rinker just installs the wiring, so adding that feature isn't a big deal. I have re-used one of the my accessory switches and cable to power something else. Made it really easy.  Just have to use a multi meter to figure out what cable is attached to that switch.

    If it doesn't power anything would the light for the switch still come on?

    Yes.  The indicator light is connected to the output of the switch contacts regardless of any other connections.
