think I may be having the same issue....

It was the oil seal input shaft difficult to change ?

No but you must follow the manual exactly with regard to the rolling torque of the input shaft bearings. If too much resistance bearing failure will occur. Too little gear failure

I'd think at some point I'd be over my head on this one....I'm still watching mine- after a prop seal shaft seal change, it kept going down but I ran all this weekend and it seems to have tapered off.....I need to check again tonight before I put the boat up but hopefully my leaking down as slowed...

Not something I'd tackle - I know my limitations!

If it's a lower unit issue, why does it leak into the bellows? Just curious Al....

Hmm. Confused. Prop shaft seals either leak oil or can also allow water to enter.

sorry Al, nothing to do with the prop shaft in my question....reading this thread, swede as oil in his bellows and you mentioned input shaft seal as the possible culprit. I have looked in the manual the routing of the reservoir to the lower unit and just don't understand how oil would get into the bellows from the input shaft????
