I was looking at Cape Coral on google maps. Holy cow, I've never seen so much waterfront! It's like 200 square miles of canals and waterfront houses. Amazing.
1 foot at most unless we get the really high and low tides it may be 18 inches. The dock sits about 28 inches above high tide. Anything from a hurricane wont touch it either.
@raybo3 Wow, 9 feet, that would screw-up a lot of guys where I boat on the St. Lawrence/Lake Ontario with about 1 foot difference. Most docks are fixed - Geez they'd be 8 feet under water LOL.
That's gonna be an awesome dock handy,I'm gonna have to start saving a little more so I can live the dream someday.Around here water drops 1 foot at nite.
We have to make sure we know what the tide is at all times. But once your use to it its really no big deal unless your high and dry at low tide.....lol. Handy I always say nice things even to you but you just dont notice......lol.....

Nine feet!!! Wow. I am glad that I am on the river. If the Allegheny River comes up 9 feet, we are calling Noah and getting the ark ready. The only time we have issues is when we get a lot of rain. Most times it comes up 2 feet after a bad rain. It usually goes down in a week. We have floating docks, so we can still access the boats in high water.

Handy, I'm not sure I'd say anything from a hurricane wouldn't touch it. My father was there when the last hurricane just turned last minute and hit port charlotte. He was in those same canals, water was approaching his house, which is close to the height of those shown in your pictures.
Wow, that's some rig....and look at those blue skies! I really prefer the bunks as they are so much more supportive of the hull! It's a really professional looking job, you're sure going to love just dropping to launch. I really miss my electric boat lift! What is the wood surface of the dock. It looks like some sort of PT?
