@checkmate. Beautiful to watch. That was my summer passion for 35+ years. Love the one ski take off. Twin boots or boot + toe grab? I used a lot of skis but my favorite was an O'Brien Synergy Z cut like a razor. My late wife, the best skier anywhere (imo) skied with an O'Brien Camille Duval. She would be so flat to the water that it would break over her ankle and her elbow would be in the water one handing it at 42 FEET off. Liked that you are one handing it.....AWESOME. Gave my skis away this summer. Haven't been able to use them for years, anyway. A fall and broken bone with bone marrow cancer is a death warrant - no whining, just reality. In my younger years I had a California J Craft with big outboards, then I went to a Moomba, then the family bought a Tige..... so much fun cutting at 50+ mph! Thanks for sharing!!!!!
@Michael T. Unfortunately I only get to ski a couple times a summer. Mostly up at my brother's cabin up in northern Michigan. So he has all the new ski stuff(Connelly double boot high wrap, Malibu boat). I happen to be down in Dayton Ohio visiting a college roommate that joined a ski club their. So I had to bring my 21 year icon ski that I purchased when I was 16(with a toe grab). It got the job done though. My roommate is 8 inches taller and 80 pounds heavier than me so I couldn't use his newer ski. Back in the day we skied and barefoot 4 days a week. Haven't barefooted in 2 years though. We barefoot off regular rope by dropping a ski. Brother just got a boom for his Malibu boat for some reason I couldn't do it that way. Sking courses is a blast but a quick reminder of how out of sking shape you can get. I was gasping for air after 2 passes.
@checkmate...We started barefooting in '83 by stepping off our slalom skis. At first there were some wicked falls when someone leaned too far forward or caught a toe. Serious face slapping and enemas!!!!! LOL Then we got a boom - man we thought we were the kings of the river with that.... LOL. I have a picture of me somewhere skiing with a cast on! In our 20's and nuts! Those were the days!
@LaRea you and your Admiral's new cars have arrived: 2017 Audi R8 PLUS..... 5.2L V-10....610HP ....415 torque. Tires 245/30R20 front...305/30R20 rear...serious tires for serious HP/Torque. You should be able to get twins for about 400K
BTW 100KPH....3 seconds.....tops at 330 (governed)....not governed, I'm guessing 370KPH?
@69fastback....that would be quite a lot of lift and torque on the DT it must be built really solid! What gears are you running in the rear end? Solid axle?
@69fastback......wicked. I read an article a couple of years back about one of the Ford grandsons, who is in the company as an exec in product development or something like that, testing a Mustang with a crazy engine. The car had a solid axle that they kept making bigger but kept twisting. They had multiple pictures of it smoking the tires and said they could easily blow them in one launch. It was something to see.
