I believe the TP stands for turbo prop. There is  SF.260 that is piston powered.

I guess it's like our T-6C Texan II.

@DD2, imo you did an amazing job. If the glare was bothering you, could you make a Velcro on mini hood of something like black canvas with a small front like a ball cap to shade it? Does your Admiral (or you) sew?
Thanx. I thought about some sort of hood or shade....might look a bit further into that.

They might even sell an anti glair screen protector for your tablet.
They don't specifically make one for my dell but I might be able to adapt something. I don't really think it will help cause in the bright sunlight, it's not the glare, you just can't see the screen cause it's not bright enough.

Again, for my application, it's doable but would certainly not use just that out in the ocean.

since I am currently having issues with my RL70C plotter/radar unit, I decided to look into the garmin and navionics iPad apps to use until mine gets replaced.  After much research, I downloaded the garmin version, mainly bc for $30/yr, you get the ability to overlay weather radar on the chartplotter.  I haven't used it on the water, but am VERY IMPRESSED at how user friendly it is, and how smooth it appears to work.  This weekend will be a better test, once on the water, and now I will have this as a backup to my permanent MFD once that gets squared away.
