Call SeaDek. They create the templates themselves and keep the CAD files at their offices. No customer will have a template.
If they don't have one on file then no one has one. It's easy to create a template though. They can send you a template kit which is basically a big transparent sheet and you just go with a marker and trace out your swim platform. They then create the drawing.
Got it wondering if someone can share the document they got though for that year and model because I found another material Id like to try that is not sea dek and I need to create a drawing for it. Would save a lot of time.
The drawing I received from them for my 260EC is a PDF. It has limited dimensions. I don't think another fabricator can cut from it without the digital file.
I just had plasdeck installed and chose it over seadeck for the durability long term. cost difference may not be that great depending on square footage.
Jmichels, what EVA Foam are you talking about? I was considering putting seadek on my platform to help the dog jump from the platform to the dock. hate spending lots of $$ for that reason....might be more intrigued if cheap....lol.
ya exactly. I found the info on the other post about updating the interior. Im getting the sample tommorow if its any good Ill let you know the details. Definately way cheaper in cost then seadek. Lets see if its also cheaper material. I think not.
@jmichels Attached is the drawing for a 2002. May be good for your boat just look close because there are at least 3 variations of swim platforms for the 270 from 2002-2005. Some have cleats, vents, bends, covers for the ladder.....
Only did that first step inside(included in that pdf). We absolutely love it... Soft and cushy, yet rugged and durable. Had two small rips on the edge where it gets really thin(I think my kids did something that they won't admit to!!). Doesn't get that hot in direct sun either. Cleans up easy.
I got my sample sheet of the EVA foam today that I am going to use for the cabin. Looks like really nice stuff. Well see how it holds up. Don't think its any different then the material Seadek is using.
After contacting Helen at Melors she quoted a price of $175.00 Hold up, I will order the 5 pieces and report when I get them. It took about two weeks on the last order to receive.
Randy . Same here. Waiting for the engineer to send me the proofs to approve. I received the sample piece from her last week for the cabin and was quite impressed with the quality and construction. There is another Rinker at my marina that had a seadek sunpad on the swim platform and I felt it today and its virtually identical to the material I received. Cant wait to get the swim platform one.
I just today paid with papal and placed order today. It will be a great enhancement. If it fits and looks as good as the other piece I bought in the spring.
