Well, since it is almost friggin Christmas (4 months and you will be opening your Christmas present), I was thinking of getting into the local boat parade around here. I assume since I see a lot of sail oats doing this, are they running off 12 of 110?

I would consider using waterproof LED strip lights. You can get them for about $20 for 300 light strip and it includes a remote control and color changing capability. I think they are a little higher power than christmas lights so confirm power requirements if you go that route.

Try running a string of lights from the bow to the top of the antenna mast to the stern. The last section (to the stern) stabilizes the antenna and keeps it from bending too much. It won't interfere with your radio reception.
Zip-tying strings of lights to the bow rail and stanchions is always good. A line around the outside of the swim platform looks nice too, but you have to attach it with tape (and then clean off the tape residue later).
In the summer, I avoid putting lights in the cockpit because they attract bugs, but you might not have to deal with that in December. -
