My son's friend flushed a heavy duty paper towel and now toilet is clogged. Di I have to take the toilet off or any suggestions. What are the chance it is in the maceration valve?
I think there might be a duck bill type of anti siphon valve at the bottom of the toilet that may have trapped the paper. You should have received a Techma parts catalogue with that boat (there was one in the owner information binder when I sold it to the guy you bought it from) and if so, it should have a page with an expended schematic that illustrates where to find that valve. I think the valve is attached in-line to the white waste hose at the bottom of the toilet. Good luck. Not fun!
While I've never had to clear a blockage on my boat head, I have seen twice now where the use of a plunger has worked very effectively - both times a gentle "plunge" once or twice worked. The duckbill valves are designed to prevent back flow and once the waste clears the duckbill valves, you are good to go - so to speak :-)
You need to be careful with pushing a blockage into your tank. It could end up as a blockage in your pump-out line. If it's just paper then no problem.
LOL! In your neck of the woods today bry1429 but forgot you put your boat away in July! Real rough ride to Hammond for gas then to Crowleys after. Seasons over but next year......
