What is the black box?

Just took out my GPS C70 out and this box was behind it,it is not hooked to the GPS.2005 342.

Black
Orange

That is you trim tab control box.

Looks like trim tab control  box, to me also. There will be a wire going to ignition switch. The newer ones have a tab on them so you can screw it somewhere.

@rasbury that's what I was thinking,satellite tracking and self destruct from the CIA.Then I though Y me I just Owen a Rinker.Well is a really cool boat.

I am pretty sure that I read somewhere that the box should be mounted with the wires facing down(like you have it)...

@diggin2day1 Its just sitting in there.When I put the GPS back in I'll but some velco back there and stick it to the wall.thanks for the info.

I have a new trim tab kit coming tomorrow and it has the new 'all in one' control that is part of the switch pad, large and round. Looking forward to seeing how it works.
And yes 'diggin2day1' is correct, box must be installed on a vertical surface with wires down.

Absolutely what diggin said about the box.     For some reason it matters.
