Best boat grill and mounting 270FV

I'm looking for suggestions for summer grilling on our boat. Boat is a 270FV. I'd like ideas on grill choices and mounting suggestions. Not sure if I want it on the swim platform as we anchor out and don't want it in the way, but not totally opposed.

I went with the small round gas version Magma grill. I did this so I could leave it permanently mounted on the back of the boat and just swing it out to use. Sorry no pics of it but this is the mount I used (below). If you have a grab handle it might work for you, mine would swing over to where my fenders are when not in use. It survived 1 full season so far and never came loose.

I put one of these on my platform.  I wish I had the door over the ladder like the 320.  I would have hidden it under there.

I have the round Magma(party size) grill and I use the rod-holder mount on the starboard side(ya know... right above the fuel fill). You have to be careful with the kettle style grills, I find that cooking burgers, steaks, etc fills up the grease pan quickly.

Would be nice if you could close that hatch door. Maybe drill a hole with a stainless sleeve?

I have the same one mounted on the corner of my swim platform. I believe that I have the Newport grill.

I brought a Cobb grill it's amazing no ash you don't need to add anything, you can just place it on a flat surface, light  the Bricks (I but the specific ones) and am cooking within 2 minutes,  you can even pick it up and move it if you want.  I would recommend it to anyone it's not cheap but worth every penny spent.

I have one and think it's amazing better than any that I have seen or used before.  And no need for any attachments.  And when finished you just throw the brick overboard as it's biodegradable

Never heard of it. Interesting, no gas just the bricks.... Where did you purchase yours? The link appears to be out of the country, prices are in lira?

I mounted the fish-on rod holder / bbq mount on starboard side, like pictured here:

I have never ever grilled on any of my boats. IMO its just too dangerous.

I am sure this will be one of the least popular responses but we use a party size electric George Forman in the cockpit on the counter next to the sink. The plan was just to use it at the dock, but it is so easy that we've also used it away from the dock while running the genny. We do keep a round Magma on board in case we want to do "real" grilling or the genny is not an option. It has a rail mount so I would use it on the swim platform on one of the hand bars on the transom. But man, George does make it easy

We have a foreman on board for those places I can't use the grill or due to weather.  Foreman grill is definitely nice, just a pain to clean (yeah, I know they have ones that the plates come out).

We actually line the top and bottom of our Forman with foil so little to no clean up. I know it's not green but we make it up recycling elsewhere.

I put mine on a pole on the back- figured if it caught fire I could just knock it into the water! That looks great.

Magma makes a great grill.

Here's two locations I could put mine on my 260EC. Top picture you can see it on the bow rail, close to the windshield. No issues while underway, and still have good visibility.

New to this site. A friendly suggestion, be mindful of mounting grills close to the fuel tank vent. On my 02 - 27FV its right below the gunwale on the starboard side.
