Plus in Florida sales tax is 6% ... here its 13% on everything!

On the other hand a decent family medical insurance plan here is at least $18,000 per year and non-existent there. At least in some ways you have to compare taxes with services provided to determine whether the rates are high or not.

Because it’s free and they don’t have a choice to pick and choose doctors. Some specialist have a waiting list, etc

I remember 2 years ago my CPA telling me his insurance more than doubled in one year. He said he was paying $21,000/year for him, wife, and son. Affordable Care Act? Affordable for who?

every year for the last 5 years insurance goes up, about 10%. The wife is school teacher, It's about 12k per year for the two of us.
