Ye most of the time it’s on the drive side. when i had drives serviced they cleaned out the passage. if you go into sandy areas your chances are pretty good to clog it within the same season. i just use my gps actually. if I see accurate mph I know how my boat is performing. In other words I know where I need to be to plane and cruise and that changes With load but mph needs to stay the same.
I have chartplotter and vesselview lol. Since the drives were off I thought I would clean then out. Hate when something isn't working on the boat!! I know it wont last long lol
yes starboard side is the one. when my drives were of last winter I soaked them for days to get it cleaned out. thin piece of wire going down from the top did the trick. shop vac got more out then compressor.
