Documenting your engine room

Do any of you have schematics or photos of your engine room that you keep up to date? Four months into Winter, with my boat wrapped, I'm really regretting not taking copious amounts of photos of my engine room for reference. I want to plan a new charging system, new batteries, and a wiring cleanup, but going from memory is pointless.
Got photos? Got a schematic? Show 'em!

Another good technique is a video walk-through.
Did someone say engine room picture?
I can't wait to get back in my second home!!!

This picture was taken last June (you can actually see my new TPPL batteries I installed last spring). Yes, I spend way too much time in the engine room. It does help me quickly identify any leaks though :+1
Oh, & I moved the topic over to the general discussion for you.

@Dream_Inn looks dirty.
I'm coming out of winter storage in two weeks. Freeze is over. Well here it is.

for me this spring I need to do my spark plugs before I put batteries in. Batteries sit in front on the two engines and it makes it a pita .

Guys, I'm sure you know, but most of yours is just as clean, it's just that speckled stuff they used makes it look dirty (or at least not as clean). The other part of it is that with more room, it is a lot easier to get down there to clean.
My 310 bilge was too tough to keep real clean. I will say, the older 342s are even tougher than the 310, without any space in front of the engines (I've worked on my share, and they aren't any fun).
I agree with the comments that no matter what you take a picture of, you'll not always have the measurements of something you need. I have gotten in the habit of taking a picture of any measurements I take for things I need (either to replace or fix). After a while, they do start to add up to a nice collection to refer to.

Now back on topic, it is always good to have photos of all of the equipment in the engine room. That way if you have to replace a part, you can look it up at home. I have some of the stuff photographed, but not everything. It is now on my spring to do list.

i try to spend minimal
time inside the engine compartment
it also means it’s running good
