Well - those diesel GPH hours were INTERESTING!!!!! 22GPH at 30 MPH? I don't have my notes with me but I'm pretty sure the 502s burned about 23 GPH at cruise and the diesel option was $50K more? HMMMMMM

You're saying your 360 burned 23 GPH at 30mph?  I need to double check those numbers with @bry1429

The 390 does get around 22GPH, but if I remember right it's just a bit slower speed for that, like 27-28MPH.  I boat with a 2006 390 that is on my dock all the time and he is generally about half of what I burn, but he generally will go about 5MPH slower than my cruise speed (which is not much).  The 390 is a beautiful boat, pretty much the 400 with diesels (smaller swim platform - little swim seat, wrap around seat in galley instead of couch, those are the major differences).

It's right down the road from me.  The 410 is the diesel version of the 420 (like the 390 is of the 400).  It's a lot of boat for the money!

Yes @ Dream_Inn. Not sure I was doing exactly 30 MPH. But that is not the point I was making. At cruise I'm pretty sure I was burning 23 +/- a bit GPH. The speed was probably close to 30 MPH as the EC 360 has to be moving to stay on plane.  But the point was that at the time of purchase the up=grade to diesels was $50K +/- a bit.  At that cost and relative parity of the cost of fuels and that GPH fuel burn I se no advantage to the diesels other than longgevity....and properly maintained 502s in an EC 360 should last a very, very long time as they are not working too hard. No argument that a point is reached where gassers don't make sense I guess that's over 40 feet. Anyway......that 22GPH for the diesel was very interesting.

That looks like Dave's boat . we went to see it the same day the people in Michigan put a deposit on it. Some of the pictures are the same from when it was in Maryland.

I think you are right.  Some of the décor is same as well.  I didn't know it went to Michigan.  Didn't take long for them to put it up for sale again.

For those of you that have been long time members from RBO, this was originally Nancy's old boat that was from the NJ (I think), or was it further north?

Care to elaborate?  I’m a big fan of diesel, grew up on diesels and will likely go diesel on the next boat.

Yep.  Some of them do a lot of travelling.  Mine originally went from MO (LOTO) to OH then to MD.

Handy, I believe some of the interest is just that this boat has been owned previously by two different forum members.
