Well, I'm not sure I've seen either 390 hit 40mph, but I will say they stay easily with me at my cruise speed of 31-33mph (and they aren't topped out yet). They both had the Volvo Penta D-6. Only issue that always seemed to be a pain was to raise (or lower) the outdrive, I believe it was the engine had to be off first. I just remember every year at Rinkervous we have issues getting it started because of the drives.
new member here im waking up an old tread but wondering why the rinker 410 everyday is Saturday is still for sales any problem know with this boat as im about to pull the triger on it. survey is plan for next week thank you
i try to find out why this boat was sitting on land for 4 years i will have it survey friday but since boat is sitting for so long any blister or water intrusion have dry and will be harder to find.
A good surveyor can spot blister damage even if no longer wet. And soft spots or voids can be found with a tapping hammer. Some will also use a density meter (kinda like a stud finder) and run it all over the hull.

I think you may be surprised. I've personally had this boat (and another 390 with diesels) in my wake and they keep up pretty good.
