what could be causing our 342 taking in water in the transom?

please respond our boat was put in and taken out very quickly because it was taking in water. 2006 342

Lots of possibilities!  Blige drain plug in?  BTW the bilge drain plug housing can leak around the edges: pull and reseal (had the issue on mine). 

Water coming in that fast (as it sounds) think thru hulls, gen set strainer, hoses to raw water pump.

You have to provide a lot more info to even start to guess...new to you boat? Had the boat for years but a new problem?

How much water is it taking on????? You may have a transom bracket problem. Take a look behind your engines at the transom bracket and see if its leaking. If so sorry to say its a big job. Engine has to come out. Once the engine is out hopefully you dont have fiberglass damage. I had to do both of mine over the last few years. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hopefully it’s just the rubber bellows that needs to be replaced.

All I know is we are so bummed out. The mechanics are looking at it this week.
