Transporting a 2005 342

My wife and I bought an 05 342 on Cape Cod, Ma.  We are trying to get it transported to New Hampshire were we live.  It is at a residence on blocks and stands.  I will need to have it brought to a marina and put on a sling, then a transport trailer, then off by sling at the local marina.  The boat with the dome is 13' and that seems to be the deal breaker for one hauler to do it all.  Aren't Rinkers tracked to the dealers? Are they all removed by sling?  Just seems a bit crazy to me.  I had my 30' boat transported with no issue and that has the arch and dome as well.  Any ideas on if there is a better way?  The motors are pickled so I cant run it up.  Thanks in advance!

    Mr. HANDY is correct. They can pick it up off the blocks and haul to NH. I have mine hauled home for winter, unbolt dome and stand and strap under arch. I have blocks and stands at home to get it off the trailer.

    I can park beside yours and we can compare. Lol gasser goes faster.

    You just need to find someone with a hydraulic trailer, they will come lift it off the blocks onto the trailer and transport it. They can then put it back on blocks, launch it via ramp or have your marina lift it with a sling. This was how mine was transported and only needed to remove the stuff on the arch.

    I wish.  I am having a hard time believing it can be this difficult.  Plus, I can not get most of the haulers I have called and e-mailed to even get back to me.  This is just plan crazy and very frustrating.  Many of them must be on vacation or something.  Anyone lowered the arch? That may be next plan to get it well below the 13'

    Some years offered a hinged arch. Not sure on the 342s but have noticed it on several models. With taking all the equipment off the arch for transport you should be ok though. As long as the transport co. uses the low profile trailer set ups. There should be a good bit of them out there that could transport it. You’re tough part may be getting the proper transport to get it off the blocks and onto a trailer if it’s parked at a residence currently. Did I read that right? Did you reach out to the co. that transported it to where it is now?

    How did the old owners get it there? Maybe try that company to get it to a marina with a hoist and go from there.

    I have mine hauled home every year. Radar dome will definitely have to be removed. My marina has a hydraulic trailer and could haul that for you. Not sure of the cost as they are in Naples Maine, but give them a call. Contact Marc at Moose Landing Marina (207) 693-6264

    Ended up finding a real boat hauling company in NH. They went down and brought it up on a hydraulic trailer.  No issues at all!  What a bunch of deadbeat haulers there are in Massachusetts. Trying to over charge and make thing much more difficult then needed. Glad to have her home so I can start getting her ready!

    It is! A week of buffing and waxing and I have done the rub rail down. Now the interior, then on the trailer, the upper deck, and cabin. I am thinking of a 2020 launch date! :)
