Am I missing a drain at the step down by the cabin door?

in Rinker Express Cruisers Forum
Just bought a 320 cabin cruiser and we have standing water at the step down by the cabin door (also standing water behind the steering column that drains to the step down). It doesn't seem there is a drain to the bilge so the water spills into the helm berth. Am I missing something obvious?

    Don't have a drain in mine either, not sure if there is one.

    That's my biggest *itch about my 280. No drain outside the cabin door.

    The drain on the 270 is also way up behind the helm,very hard to get to if stuff gets in there.

    @jme097 , the drain is in the corner behind the helm.

    @Cableguy Greg  Well that one yes. But if the boat isn't leaning to the starboard side then the water just puddles there. I love the 310's have that grating that allows the water to escape

    When I wash down the boat, I have to stand on that side to get the water to drain. It is a PITA.

    Drain is behind the helm on the other side of the boat (starboard). Yours might be clogged. Try washing down with water, but be careful not to spray all over the electricals!

    Mine gets plugged, back flush with a hose to get the stuff moving...coat hanger works too.

    the 320 because of it's design always leans to starboard so the drain is in the perfect spot. Although I don't think that Rinker had wanted to design it that way

    270 is also under the helm and easily clogged with leaves. You should have an inspection plate when you go down below you'll see it on the side of the helm...
