    So I broke two in the past week! I used the second one maybe one or two latches !! LoL 🙄 It’s crazy how I can’t remember to unlock it. With the kids running around I always have it latched.

    @aero3113 you'll have to get a flip over switch cover.....having to open the cover to hit the button will remind you to check....

    Sorry. No idea. It was half tongue in cheek. I could picture one like the big red nuke buttons in the movies. 🤣

    I thought you were gonna out a label on the switch as a reminder 🤨. I guess it's one of those things " oh shoot well I'll never do that again" 4 latches later

    I was thinking maybe paint a red stripe at the top of the switch itself.

    I was also thinking of glueing a thumb tack pointy side up on the top of the switch. 🤪

    I have a decal above my switch that states "Check Door"

    How about reposition the latch? I had no idea these were sideways on ours, mine is into the floor and apart from always having the door open when lifting hatch and looking back it seems even a small movement on yours spells disaster; with mine there’s more leeway before any damage.

    You could wire the switch in series with one a momentary ACC switch to the starboard side of the helm (where the ACC switches are) so that you'd have to press and hold two switches to lift the hatch.  I assume you have some extra switches laying around since you replaced the panels.

    Replaced the Perko barrel bolt, damaged when the engine hatch was being re-installed, and replaced  the latch ring. No more rattling.

    That’s funny!!
    I spent so much money replacing that barrel bolt! I’m hoping I learned my lesson. The red sticker on the hatch switch will hopefully help me! So far so good 😂
