Oil Change method

Who removes their oil through the dip stick and who uses the hose attached to the oil pan drain?

    Dipstick for me. Never seen a hose on the pan.

    this is good friend or pump on a drill. The treads on the dip stick are the same as a garnden hose

    I also use the topsider. My threaded portion on the dipstick isn't sealed very well on the dipstick so I need to seal it better. Maybe just some RTV silicone.

    I use the drill use fresh oil to prime.it is much faster then the topsider but the top side gets more out. A hose washer should help with the sealing of the hose.

    Just wondering how much oil is left behind using dipstick?  Switching to synthetic and want to get out as much as I can. When you refill how close to the listed capacity does it take?

    Just did the dip stick method.  Listed capacity is 4.5 quarts w/ filter change.  Added 4 quarts.  So only about a 1/2 quart left behind.  I just switched to synthetic too.
