Can someone tell me how to gain access to the front bilge area?

    On the 280 it's under the matress, I believe the 270 is the same.

    So its just that small hatch that has the air conditioner vents and the valves.  Also I have not figured out what side the water for the air conditioner comes out? I have got the air working but not sure the water pump is pumping water to cool the evaporator.

    Yes that's the hatch. The exit for the AC water is on the starboard side. Make sure the seacock is open and it may take a minute to prim and get water going if the lines are dry. There usually is a strainer as well in that bilge area that may need to be cleaned. CLOSE the seacock and then open the strainer and clean if needed.

    I had a problem priming mine last year the exhaust for the water is the plastic thru hull on the starboard side I put a garden  hose on it and pumped some water in to prime it

    I am assuming its the one in front of the four that are together.  I am including a picture. can you tell me what they all go to.  I know one is the sink drain.

    I am also assuming the pump for the air is the one in the front hatch under the steps.

    The pump under the hatch is the water pump for the AC.

    The 4 holes on the side, one of them is the AC water discharge. They are AC water discharge,shower drain, rain water drain from helm area, and mid bilge pump drain. 

    The front hole should be the lav sink drain hole.

    Every spring after summarizing get it up on plane for 5 minutes it will prime.

    My ac outlet is bottom rear of the 4 holes

    Priming ac can be a real pain, especially if you dry store.  

    I attached my wash down hose off of a T on the AC side of the strainer.  My wash down is on the transom with a spring loaded lock and twist hose attachment.

    After launching I hook up my wash down hose and turn it on until all air is gone.  The wash down pump is self priming, the AC pump is not.  

    I still have to open the T under the hatch to get all the air out, under the v berth hatch. 

    My ac circulation pump has a 110v plug.  While priming i plug it into a wall outlet so i don't over heat the compressor while doing all this solo.  I know the compressor has an over heat cut off but it's too hot to touch by the time this happens so id rather not trip it.

    This process sounds brutal but only takes me about 10 min from start to stop.  After I launch I do this before picking up the family.  Gives me time to drink a beer and get everything organized before they board.  

    Running on plane would work for me if I had an inboard generator.  I probably don't want to do that with my little portable generator!  I need an inboard generator it they run about 9k for a diesel inboard.  I'm thinking about starting a swear jar to fund this mod.

    I guess I could loosen the strainer once under way and let air out quicker?  Thanks for all the advice, I would never have figured that out.

    If you close the seacock and open the strainer you could fill the strainer cup with water and re attach. That may help get water pumping with less air in the system.

    Just back flush it with a hose with the ac on it worked for me

    I always close my AC seacock before I put her on the lift.  To prime, I loosen the screws around the pump while it's running and once air goes to water I tighten.  Taking loose the strainer doesn't typically work for me.

    Will post a picture later today when I uncover my boat, its been raining here.  @randy56 I do have macerator pump but it just pumps into the waste tank.  But you might be on to something, do all you guys have macerator into waste tanks?

    That had to be an add on from previous owner. Maybe you can reach up from the engine bay and follow the wire?

    Yep I guess I am going to have to figure out what it goes to.  It feels like a switch on and off when you pull on it.  Does everyone have a macerator?

    It looks like a previous owner addition as there’s no label on the panel.
