Anyone know of a boat like a SeaRay 370 Venture...but affordable??

J3ffJ3ff Member Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭✭✭
Even after boat prices crash this thing probably still will be above 100k.

https://specs.boatguideweb.com/specifications/sea_ray/sport_cruisers/370_venture/

The key things to look at.

- Hidden outboards
- Nice big table up front
- Wrap around windows
- Really cool aft bedroom.

It seems that boats over 28/29 feet lose that table, and then it gets taken up with a useless bed (I mean how many people are actually sleeping on these boats overnight? and if they are, how many people need two queen+ size beds on their boats)...

If I could afford it, I'd be living on one right now! Looks like such a cool bachelor pad. The outboards are just an amazing bonus!

Thanks. I just can't stand the bed being in the bow. It's a colossal waste of space.

We used the v-berth and mid-cabin berth all the time when I had my 342.  Just my .02.

Be a long time before that SR is less than $100k though.

Did you just put "Boat" and "Affordable" in the same sentence, and it's even the subject title too??

Those were cool boats! Just re-read some articles on those 370's.

    25% better mpg
    Super quiet
    Shallow water/beachable
    No drive corrosion probs.

For some reason it ended up the Delorean of Express Cruisers.

There's one for 215k... I'd say it probably would be worth it. Just look at the style of that cabin.. that bed room has so much potential.. it's not the usual boring boat bed.. it's actually got some style to it.. would be awesome to call home!

$215K isn't too bad - if you say it fast....

The layout is good if you don’t have kid(s) but the big disappointment is no shower stall. Once you have one, you will never look back.

No shower in a boat that size?? Or you mean no separate shower stall, it's integrated into the head?

Amazing difference in the shower in the 270 vs 342. Rinker did a great job with that bathroom.

Don't need a shower, I'll always be at a marina..

Nothing says “ladies man” like “just a minute while I run over to the communal showers and freshen up”!

lol... I've been on a 100 ft westport yacht and the shower isn't impressive :).. dont think any shower on a boat is really that good. The marina I'm at has pretty decent ones..

Did not think about showers at the marina, we do not have them, nor have I ever seen shower house at a marina. guess you get your daily hike in. Seems you will be all hot and sweetie by the time you get back to the boat? I took a lot of showers in my 270 not to comfortable, but it worked.

Are there any 342's with a table up front and straight inboards??

I don't think they put a table up front, here is a boat test on 2 - 342.

The shower on the EC 360 was awesome. I'm 6'6" and I had 3" above my head. I think the shower in the EC 400 was even bigger.

Well even though the 370 looks like a dream florida boat.. going to expand the search a little.. while this one looks a little odd, the interior looks awesome.

One of our dock neighbors has this boat, not sure it's the same year, but looks identical. It's a beautiful boat. I always admire it when we walk past it. Only thing he doesn't like is it does act like a sail in a crosswind and can be difficult to maneuver in close quarters when windy.

The Mariner's are odd looking, but a buddy had one and the space below is amazing.

Yep, my shower is huge!  Enough space for both the admiral & me at the same time!  :D

I've had two friends who had those Carver 350 Mariners. Both loved the interior space, huge, and perfect for a liveaboard like you want. Both had a lot of trouble maneuvering them though, very rarely left the dock due to high wind incidents. One added a bow thruster and a back up camera which made a big difference for him. For your liveaboard needs that would be a great boat.

Agree onboard shower is a game changer. We bought our 342 specifically due to separate shower. Admiral said she wouldnt use it... ended up loving it and using it every weekend. New boat has a separate shower too, we havent had to go to the bath house to shower in years.

Have you looked into any of the Bayliner motor yachts or models like the Silverton?   There's several on the east coast now in the 40 to 70k range.

I'm still contemplating buying a live aboard slip and putting one of those beasts down near you.

Only rich white women and Europeans buy Carver boats.  They also only drink clear alcohol.  Don't be a Carver owner 😂
