Hello everyone me again with the damaged boat and empty wallet. My spot light stopped working I am not sure why it won’t move / rotate or anything. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks Charles

    What spotlight do you have?
Did you replace the batteries in the remote if it’s that style?

Gotta be the old-school Jabsco on a 2002.  Check the fuses in the joystick controller.  On the face of the controller, there should be two little plastic rectangular fuse covers that just pull off.  What happens if you try to physically move the spotlight by hand?  If it moves easily, the gears are probably broken (which is fatal).

If no joy there, you can try removing the case from the spotlight to look for anything obvious.  Loosen the ring around the rim of the bulb and pull it off.

So I need to take the joystick out and behind it are the fuses?

You know years ago I thought they were just finger grips as you toggled the stick!
