Symptoms were: Overheating when on plane.

Checked the "coolant pressure" I've looked around and gotten both answers that vessel view is reporting the RAW water pressure and then looking elseware I see people saying it's the freshwater side of the close looped part of the system. I have the type of freshwater that circulates through the engine AND the manifolds. Only sea water goes through the risers. Either way the pressure was around 30psi.

Assuming that it was telling the pressure on the raw water side I replaced the risers, which was a BIG push in this Florida heat. The risers were def ready to be replaced anyway. inspected all hoses top side of the motor.

The problem right now is even with the boat on the muffs, there's still a blockage somewhere.

Also A.I. is saying that a failed pressure sensor will read 30ish psi even when the boat is off. Which mine does.

How long till we have electric boats like this one?? So tired of dealing with this gas motor and everything that comes with it!!

How often do you need to pull the caps on the heat exchanger in warm salt water? The cooling system maintenance has to be a constant chore down there

Found a torn up impeller today, now to go on the hunt for the pieces.. Pulled the end caps on the heat exchanger and didn't see anything that looked bad.

Didn't you recently do a repower? They could not have looked great then?;l need to do my impeller also...

Found where it all went... plus some shells...
and broke something else.. sure hope it can be swapped without removing the motor.

Port lower, about to a.i. if this can be fixed without pulling the motor. If the answer is no, will be closing the computer for the day.

Repower must be about 10 years ago at this point. Bellows have been changed every 3 years, sea water impeller must be 4 years old, that ones on me.

I changed my bellows probably 10 years ago- but haven't used it much either...imcway more worried about the impeller in the raw water pump..

Absolutely!!! especially in the compressed shape. i can only go thru 2 winters here letting it sit in that compressed state. Yes, I know you don't have winters, but it sounds like your boat does sit a bit in your hotter summers.

There's a suzki dealer in marathon not far from Castaways.... they'd probably be happy to toss a 300 on the back of that for you

I've actually been looking into it. There's apparently a couple places in miami that will do the labor for you if you give them your engine, you just have to pay for the outboard. That might be the route we go next time this boat is out of the water for work.

As a tease my 'dream boat' (super rare as they only made it for 2 years) just happened to be at the yard a few over from where mine is.. couldn't help but go stare at it for a few seconds.
