  I had the one that went on a drill and it worked great. Lent it out and never got it back. Bought one this fall that has a pump and bucket because it was on sale. It also works great. It was on sale at Wholesale Marine for $125. Not sure if it is still on sale or not.

  I have pump and bucket one I bought 19 years ago.  Still using, think I got my money's worth.  Had to change buckets this year due to crack.

  If you have Merc’s get the proper siphon pump that attaches via dipstick. Jabsco makes a good version too. About $50.

  I have used this and the one that goes on the drill must say the one on the drill works best takes like 60 seconds. Remember the treads on the dip stick are the same as a graden hose.

  I use this 12V pump , I modified a washing machine hose to fit the dipstick (just had to drill out the fitting slightly so it would screw in). When the oil is warm it pumps out very quick.

  I use this and am very happy with it. Comes with the threaded adaptor to screw to the top of the dipstick on the Merc 350

  Just a tip let your boat warm up for an hour, on garden hose. cold oil is hard to extract. And it take's a long time to heat up oil. Water is fast. A half hour is not long enough.

  Agree, I give it a half hour and it’s good and hot but I notice that by the time I do both engines and genny it’s starting to cool, hour probably helps make sure it stays hot

  For years I’ve been using the plastic pump and it worked well but could leak at times. Last season when I turned it on, the motor sparked and smoked. I was able to still use it but figured it’s on its way out. New pump is ready to go, curious to see how it works. I’ll keep the plastic one handy as a backup.

  Here you go @grouch0jr , I went to the hardware store and bought fittings so I can use a smaller barb. Use pipe dope on the threads when you install them. I read that the threads a cut a little smaller and can leak if not sealed. People had issues with thread tape.
  I read through the reviews and many use it for oil extraction.

  @aero3113 I just connect it to my manifold and open the valve and let it do its thing.
  
  It does get quite hot so be careful when you're done the second motor. It will burn you good if you're not careful.
