SeaDek for Rinker

Ok, so I had SeaDek send me out the template kit, so I can template out my swim platform.  After retuning the template to SeaDek, I get a call from their customer service rep, who tells me that Rinker will NOT release the rights for SeaDek to engrave the  RINKER logo into my swim platform appliqué, and in order for them to proceed, I need a letter on RINKER letterhead giving permission to SeaDek to engrave the product with the RINKER logo   
I have sent emails to each of the four listed email addresses on the Nautiglobal site and received NO reply.  I have called the main number on the web site and was told to contact a Cindy Scott. I sent her an email and left her a voicemail and have received no reply. 
Does anyone know if there is ANYONE who can authorize a letter for a one time permission to get this done. 
In my mind, its advertising for their company, Its not like I want to sell T-shirts with their logo on them.

    If they put their name on another product and something happens to that product who do you think would get blamed?

    I have the Rinker logo on my swim platform. SeaDek must of had a policy change in the last couple years.

    Interesting... I just got my template kit from them today.. Hopefully they can put Rinker on it, or i'll have to put the boat name...

    Funny that Cindy Scott hasn't repplied, maybe she's on vacation or has a few days off. I emailed with her 2 weeks ago and the response was quick, first thing of the day I'd say..; Wait until monday, otherwise give her a call, here are her details

    If thats the case, How can the advertise it on their website with the rinker logo? It just doesn't make any sense

    They are covering their legal side.  World we live in today... in part is do too if someone slips on the surface and gets hurt they go after rinker.  Which in turn goes after seadeck.  This adds to the suit as aggrevation and cost for rinker to protect itself.  A double bang for seadeck. Basically, It's the font that's really the issue.  Trade Marks...  you'd do the same to protect yourself.  The 80's and simplicity are sadly gone.  Good luck on getting an approved letter.

    Fyi.  A friend of mine wanted to use the same font as their favorite gin Sapphire.   The answer was NO.  Maybe Sapphire was afraid someone would slip on their name. Haa!

    Im in the process of ordering mine and ran into the same problem so im just not going to put the rinker logo on it.....sux, cause it would have been nice to have it on there.

    Not having Rinker on my swim platform wouldn't bother me in the least... I guess I don't have a brand loyalty like others in the forum. My view is that if a brand wants me loyal, they must earn it....

    That is weird, I was ordering mine last summer and they were going to put Rinker on it, even called and asked how big I wanted it.  I decided to hold off until this summer.  I guess it was a bad idea on my part to wait.

    For what size boat? I'm doing my entire swim deck and cockpit of my 260EC for US $2000 installed. Installation is about $300 and includes filling in the carpet snap holes. I think the swim deck is around $800.

    I paid $562 for my 342 swim platform SeaDek with Rinker logo. I installed it myself.

    Samp232, when did you do this, and assume you own a 232? You won't get that price today on a 28ft boat.

    UPDATE:   got the letter of authorization from Rinker. It came directly through their marketing department.  Seems anyone who wants it engraved from SeaDek, will need to go through the same process I did.   I'll post pics when it's complete, I'm doing the cockpit steps up to the bow also.

    That's crazy. If the approve for one, they should approve for all. Why go through the administration red tape each time.
