  Mine put out 65 amps each which is required for Axius as are series 31s with at least 800 CAs.

  I'm really suprised how little output boat alts. have compared to cars. 150 is on the low side anymore.

  MT, I had my alts jacked up to 100 Amps on my gas boat. Solved a lot of problems too.

  Got to be real careful with the new engines, particularly with Axius as it has power parameters and clean power specifications that are pretty specific. I sure as sh*t wouldn't want to burn the Axius computer and void the warranty. Diesels are more forgiving LOL

  ....and yes, @BMXZ 65 amps IS puny compared to what a lot of cars seem to run.

  Anyone ever go a lot bigger? Looks close to a standard GM alt.  Would have to upgrade wiring of course, but that's easy

  I asked a Merc representative how hard it would be to up-grade to one of the fantastic marine grade alternators made by Balmar. I guy at our marina up-graded to a twin set of Balmar 165 amp units. They were beautiful. He could have lit a small town at idle LOL. the Merc rep. told me to stick to boating and leave the design to them LOL. He's probably right. Still......
