cabin ceiling liner issues

I've got part of my ceiling liner drooping down.  I've thrown 2 different types of spray adhesives at it.  3M 45 spray and 3M 77 spray.
Neither have worked.  I used my docking pole to put some pressure on it for a week and I come back to the adhesive still tacky and not cured to hold the liner up.

Now I have 2 types of glue in there and it's all gluey if that's a word.

BTW.  The liner is all together meaning the backing is still attached.

    Without looking at it in more detail, is it possible to just use another screw and cap it like the others?  not sure what is directly above for attaching, but maybe a thought.  Or is it just the leather part that is coming off the backing and the backing is staying up ok?

    @Dream_Inn   The backing is still attached so it's the whole thing drooping.  I thought about putting screw and button...not sure if there is something to attach to.

    Did it get wet in that area at all?  Just peculiar how it looks a bit warped.

    @Dream_Inn I have never noticed water in that area or the cabin for that matter...it might be warped looking because of the F###ing around I've done with it.

    Spray glue would not work if the wood it attaches to is wet. Did you put your hand in there and feel around before spraying the glue?

    @DazeOff Yeah before I tried anything I made sure there wasn't any sign of water.  My worry is I started with 3m 45 glue and I think that is not the right stuff.  Now the right stuff won't cure.  I dunno.

    Not sure if using an adhesive remove would end up doing more damage at this point since it's not a hard surface. Wish I had more to offer.

    3m 77 is a contact cement you have to make sure you let it sit and get tacky before you mait the two together to get good adhesion. If it is wet on wet it will not adhere.

    @Gregg - yes I let it tack up per the instructions...it just seems to remain tacky and not cure.

    I'm going to see if there is a place to attach another button screw...that might be my only real option.

    @DazeOff - Since you just had to do all the ceiling work...do you happen to remember what those button screws actually screw into?  Is there some kind of blocking for it or is it actually screwed right to ceiling into the fiber glass?

    Screws right in the lower layer of fiberglass.

    There no sign of water or moisture.  It looks worse than it originally was because I was spraying adhesive in there and probably made it worse :(
