The laminate used in my boat is Arborite Cherry Brandy code W405. Should have my new panel in a couple of weeks!

@YYZRC this is where my “swim light” connector is.

I posted earlier about having 3 underwater lights. The starboard and port lights are damaged beyond repair but the center light looked fine so I wired it up to the swim light connector and voila - it works awesome!! The light is so bright I don’t even think 3 would have been necessary.

My starboard coolant pressure is reading low - I’m guessing it’s just the sensor. Where is it located on the 350 with SeaCore? I will swap the port and starboard sensors and see where I end up!

EDIT: sensors are in the power steering cooler.  Ordered 2 new ones and will change and move on!

I installed a Clarion M508 head unit and life is good except that there is a high pitch static sound constantly now.  I ditched the external inputs and the Sirius so the only connections to the head unit are the connector block (speaker outputs) and the RCAs for the amp.

If I dial the treble all the way down the static goes away.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

Here are some great pics of the original Rinker bow thruster install on a 330.

WoW, didn’t realize there would be a separate battery charger for the thruster. Is that area under the forward birth storage bin?

Yes it is. Boat is pre-wired for the bow thruster. Breaker is labeled “thruster charger” and you can find the 120v wires in the loom alongside the AC duct. Just have to add a receptacle box and receptacle!

@aero3113 and @Spyderweb - check your windlass bolts! I discovered mine are leaking rain water into the anchor locker...

Good catch!  Typically wouldn't know as it's damp in there most of the time from the rode always.

The finish on my arch has gone bad in several places due to the aluminum oxidizing. I’ve started the process of repairing based on tips from the arch manufacturer. So far, so good!

I have the arch paint codes from SEI (posted already) but I've found an off the shelf white automotive paint that looks to be a perfect match.  Will share all details if it works out!  If it doesn't, well...  :#

Why is there a half a$$ breaker “panel” behind the transom door?!

LoL, I have that also! I just keep the breakers on all the time! Not sure why they put that in but they need to be on.

Do you have port and starboard power?

I boated past a 340 today and it had what appeared to be a panel of some sort on the port arch “base” (next to the speaker). Any idea what goodies are inside?

    Yes, the 330 does.

    Yes, the 330 does.
And there are already breakers for both on the main panel.

So the breakers have to be so close to the plug per YRC or what every call the certification.

So they’re just a duplicate to meet spec?

That is infuriating. I wonder if that’s what is in the 340s arch base.

I’m trying to solve the static hiss (treble) since installing a new radio. Aero, how do you have your amp set for bass boost, gain, xover?

Yup should be off when plugging in shore power on that side. I do not have that luxury. Think the 340 have light switches on the arch?

@YYZRC , I had a post a little while back. I was having issues with no sound out of some speakers. I changed some settings based on someone’s recommendations (sorry, I can’t remember who). Once I switched some switches all was good. I do remember when installing systems in cars back in the day, you want to separate the power and speaker wires (I think).

I didn’t change anything. Bought a new clarion HU and reused the existing connector.
