30 snaps and 4 twist fasteners are needed to secure the cockpit cover to the windshield.

Installed a Victron energy monitor. Working on solar now...

Solar done! Just need to seal off the wires with a clamshell. Will deal with that over the winter when I paint (or vinyl wrap - TBD) the arch. 

Panels are held in place with magnets.

Working on a solution to cool the fridges. I ran a blower hose from the cockpit fridge to the galley fridge. Will hook up a blower in an attempt to suck the hot air out - just have to decide where I’m going to exhaust it.

We use our cockpit sink a lot, I just don’t like how you lose the countertop to use it.

My transom light died. Does anyone know if the bulb can be replaced?

No, it’s not. The previous owner replaced it with something cheap and I replaced it with this.

Hah, maybe!  What's the origin of your screen name?

For those who aren't prog-rock fans:  YYZ is the airport code for Toronto, where members of the band Rush grew up.  If you spell "YYZ" in Morse code, that's the rhythm for the drum/bass intro of the Rush song "YYZ".  Some very convoluted, hard-hitting stuff.

Life-long Rush fan here....saw them at Maple Leaf Gardens; final show before the Gardens closed. Saw them 4 times total but the home show at MLG was the best!

I knew something seemed familiar about YYZ, I probably should have caught on quicker. 

Is that 3 mile light not to bright, seems like it would be a flood light on the transom?

@Aqua_Aura it’s not too bright. I actually used it for the first time backing into my slip on Sunday.

Some progress on converting the aft to a more permanent “bed”. 

Installed a new layer of vinyl to cover up all the staple holes left by the old cushions and also removed the aft TV and recovered the panel. 

Working on a headboard. Also going to come up with a nicer trim strip.

I’m having my FWD port side seat cushion recovered. The guy I’m using had a few white vinyls to choose from. I think this looks like the correct one. My seats need a good scrubbing, once cleaned looks like it will be a perfect match. I can find out the make and actual color it’s called, I’m sure it’s used on a lot of models.
