Nice- that ranger is a nice truck- aren't they around 300 hp? I know they are quick, decent gas milage. F 150 were about that same size when I started selling them 30 years ago...
My Ranger has the APG ProRunner full kit on it. It's basically a Raptor on steroids haha. Stronger everything, with long-arm suspension. The kit is pretty wild with everything it comes with. I bought it built already. I'm just switching up rigs that I use for hunting. I've got my Jeep with a SRT Hemi swap up for sale right now. The wife will be glad to see that very expensive toy sell
Nice! New Orleans was my first cruise ever. We did a Western Caribbean, and as we were arriving back, a hurricane was making its way down the east coast. Eight days later, a little storm named Katrina wiped out New Orleans. We got lucky for sure!
This (and boat projects) keeps me sane and out of trouble in the winter months. It's a lot of fun, but wow you sure find out right away that you're out of shape at 7000' and trying to dig out a sled!!!
Sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, eastbound from Miami to Bimini.

I've been waiting for that picture on the way to the Bahamas! Glad to see you are on your way! I had the snowblower going at 5 am this morning. Got 4 driveways done by 6:30am. Was just thinking today that I need to start looking at the next boat! :-)
Okay, here's a pic of us in the world's worst marina. You'd think Nassau Bahamas is all puppies and rainbows, right? Not this marina. The main channel is just past these boats. All day, huge boats blast through here on full plane throwing wakes of 3-4 feet. Somehow, people seem to think that's okay. Our boat weighs 28 tons and we had stuff being thrown off the tables. Even the 100-footers were rolling unless they got one of the few slips that face the channel. I'll never stay at this marina again.
I'm trying to imagine how furious I'd be if I had made that trek and had a reservation for a slip and that's what we'd get. Sorry man, that blows. How long are you guys there for?
@LaRea which marina are you in? I think the majority are open to the Nassau harbor where they all whip thru there with wakes. I'm guessing you didn't pay the price for the calm Atlantis marina? LOL! Enjoy that nice blue water! You planning to go further south?
@Dream_Inn We stayed at Nassau Yacht Haven ... reasonably priced at only $250/night. I'll go to Atlantis on the way back, or skip Nassau completely.
Our trip down to Highbourne Cay yesterday was AWFUL! Forecast said waves 2 feet. What we got was 6-footers at 4 seconds -- very steep coming right at the bow. At first, I thought it was just a rough inlet, but it went on like that for 90 minutes. Everything that wasn't nailed down ended up on the floor. Even the settee cushion in the flybridge came off. I hope we never do that again.
That sounds like a ride you’ll never forget and will now compare every rough ride to it saying it is not as bad. 😀. You are getting closer to Turks and Caicos! Is there a plan to get to Van **** and the soggy dollar bar?
Comments
**** the water was cold!
