@J3ff 3 to 4 feet of water?? Man that must take some getting used to. I panic when I see 5' flashing. Nice photos , would like to see that someday.
It does make you cringe a little, up on plane doing 25mph and seeing it bounce between 4 and 5... the nice thing is that it's pretty much just sandy bottom at that depth.

It's not the sandy body but the big coral head that is in the middle that would worry me..

yeah, you can see those pretty far in advance, and in water that shallow there really isn't any... you've got to head out a few miles before the coral heads show up... not to say there aren't SOME coral heads in shallow water, just none where I hang out.
I'll find the article on the ships. The cleanup and scrapping of them is far more expensive then leaving them and that's why they have been left. I think a lot of finger pointing for years so no one has been burdened with the removal yet.
