Wow! That's too bad. Happy to hear no people or boats harmed. Hope they have decent insurance.

Lousy photo of a really nice place just below the Wilson Bridge that separates Virginia waters from DC waters in our nation's capital.  Pictured:  National Harbor and the MGM Grand casino.  Not pictured:  Wilson Bridge, the Capital Building, the Washington Monument and the Masonic Temple.

For 90 minutes, I fished in peace and quiet without one single bite.  Then I tried to pull in the line and come home, and there was a nice 6-pound blue catfish on the line.  Go figure.

I agree, that is a really bad picture of a great place!😁  I never thought of you as the fishing type.  There is something really relaxing about casting and reeling in a fishing line though.

Fishing is like doing nothing, but doing something at the same time. ...

Sorry I literally had to stop typing so I could reel in a catfish.  I'm sitting in the slip with a line hanging over the side of the boat.  Laziest fishing ever invented.

When COVID-19 hit, Gov. Hogan said boating wasn't allowed except when fishing for food.  So I bought a license and some gear.  Haven't done any fishing in probably 30 years.

Dinghies are the best part of express cruiser boating, especially for the kiddos.

Hopefully it’s clear, on YouTube it was blurry for some reason.

Oh so that's what the sun looks like. Instead of our 90 degree week we had so much smoke from wildfires that you couldn't even see the sun and it was about 30 degrees cooler.

It’s amazing that the haze from the wildfires made it to the east coast. Here’s a couple of pics from before.

Oh finally, the east coast can share in our joyous smoke. Hopefully it will be gone soon, planning a day trip Sunday.

This fog is never going away. Visibility is less than 800 feet at my airport so we're stuck waiting to leave.

Forecast is sunny today but there's a definite overcast/ grey hue to the skies. Not a cloud in sight. Smoke in the upper atmosphere I think.
