Yes I am researching for a possible boat to use on the lake near my summer home or any lake nearby including lake Wawasee where all the Rinkers were tested. I watched a 232 on YouTube with the 7.4 and Captains call exhaust. Sweeeeettt. That boat did 56
Always easier when you have a garage to put it in. A ski boat is way less of an expense and headache than something that is moored all year. I wish I had space for our 280 but my shop doors are only 10' 😟
We’ve had the boat for about 10 years and use it a lot. Literally, the only issues I’ve had were it popped a circulation hose, and a power steering hose. The boat has been so trouble free that it’s ridiculous. Every time my wife and I talk about buying a new one, I talk myself out of it. I did do the transom assembly a few years back, as I was having the bravo 3 work steering pin issue, but mercruiser recommends it every 10 years anyways, so it needed it.

I’ve had mine at 55 on the GPS before I added a bunch of weight with heavy AGM batteries, speakers, and a heavy enclosure.
I have a 2000 232 cuddy, with 350mag, Bravo 3. It is a fantastic boat, and I've owned a lot of boats over the years. Power to weight ratio is perfect. A big block, in my case at least, wouldn't be better. It would affect my range, and I have a huuuuuge range with a 73 gallon fuel tank, and the 350mag. Paired with Lenco tabs, the boat handles like a dream. My favorite boat I've had, no comparison. And I've had Sea Ray, Chaparral, Cobalt, Stingray, Four Winns, and Starcraft. The 232 is a great platform.
Have any of you guys with bowriders kept on trailers and used during the summer, had your outdrives removed and engine aligned, etc. or do you just change the gear oil and store for the winter??
@Handymans342 That 262 is a good looking boat, even sexy, however the older style you have to climb over the side to get in, or up the swim platform and slide across the deck lid. Your getting older, so.......... I had a boat like that 252 Mariah. 502, it was bad a$$ , and fun, getting in and out was tough for some passengers. Always had to step on the seat . Even at the dock. It was the only thing I did not like about the boat.
