Thanks, I knew from the survey that there were problems with the transom and negotiated the price down. Fortunately I am part owner of the shop and only pay cost. I doubt I would have gone ahead with the purchase paying retail. If I could give any advice it is " do not use a broker's surveyor". Mine took 4 hours and was very detailed and a 30 page report.
