    @Glenny - you might be in to something about the engine heat … seeing how close it is to the manifolds.  Maybe that manifold is overheating?  Could be worth hitting it with an IR gun. I could see that radiant heat causing the side to expand. I’d expect it to go out, but as you said maybe from prior issues, it’s more prone to go in instead.

    Perhaps some foil / reflective insulation on the side of the tank would help?

    New Tank now in for 2 full years and no problem, old tank was just weak and got sucked in at some point before i owned the boat.
