    Definitely an ECM-555.  I can't find any info on the version 5 firmware compatibility.  A quick call to Rinda may be useful.  They may also have version 6 upgrade kits available.

    FYI, these tools are more than just simple code readers.  They allow for several PCM test functions to aid in troubleshooting.  See the manual in the link attached for detailed description of the functionality.

    Your Merc 350 Mag has the ECM 555 module, so it should be compatible.
