transom door latch

Does anyone know where to get a transom door latch with the same hole locations?  1.5 x 1.25.    2003  312

I have replaced mine a couple of times and never even thought to check- they just fit!

OK, I like what you did here...how about instead of a hole put a slot open at the top. That slot could be v shaped so as you raise the engine hatch the door would just eventually open vs break the  dang latch? Is this post good for patten?

@rasbury, by bolt I meant the sliding latch. not sure how much to shorten it. I think the door will start to rattle again with that modification

@rasbury, I checked mine to day and the vertical slot would not work on my 342

If yours is like the picture you posted I think it would! Icwas actually kidding when I suggested it but, it would work!

@rasbury you need @j3ff to 3D print something like this (set the angle of the slot to the angle that your hatch opens at, I just ballparked this at around 25 degrees).

Obviously the bolt cannot extend beyond the plastic disc into the fiberglass hatch.

Mine would be almost horizontal to the right and I would have to push the door open to avoid the engine hatch hitting it

We make it adjustable, also a piece of rubber behind it that also covers the slot so it does not rattle....I wonder how many people would buy one? I've broken at least two of them....I think I have a Lowes version on there now...
