I agree with Rick.  You have to lock them.  I did the same thing when I did my bathroom redo.  Once pushed all the way in until it clicks, not a problem

I'm not sure if you've used a shark bite before.  If not make sure you're install good clean tubing.  It needs a smooth surface to seat.  Also need to make sure it pushes all the way in to lock.
I have not. I did debur the cut, cuts were pretty square all things considered. I'll give them a little tap- and it's for test only.  I am familiar with them and they seem to simplfy many plumbing issues- but would not want them on a boat. Im guessing they are not marine compliant because you can take something like those fittings apart to service something without special tools. Could be a problem in an emergency?
Shours hit 65 so I will hopefully get it backed in the water before we take the kids snow tubing.

We took all of the copper out of the crawlspace of our lake house & replaced with shark bits, on demand hot water heater & pex. One of the best things we ever did.

Isn't it a little warm and flat for snow tubing in Orlando?

We were walking back to the hotel after dinner and the wind was blowing pretty good.  Nearly got hit in the head with a falling air plant.   So now we have free air plant.

@Grahamu @captkevin @PickleRick Tested the boat today and it worked no issues. I tested first at the ramp at idle with perfect working system. Went home, filled the tank- as I was filling it was spitting back like it was full- and a wad of i dont know what spit out of the pressure relief line -part of the problem? Anyway, ran on the river no issues...water seemed to be heating up on the motor- cold faucets stayed cold. I dunno...

Which tank were you filling, is it the vent that stuff came out of? Good all seems to be working.

Filling the water tank...it started back flowing so I pushed the hose tight and it shot out- maybe some sort of bug nest...it's been dry here in Florida...that vent goes to water. It almost seems that the valve for the winterize is bad- since the hot water issue happened with the freshwater water pump off it would not seem the vent had a hand- beyond me. I will re plum the connections and see how it goes. It was a stunning weather afternoon , had the river to myself and a great end, if there really ever is one, to a mess of a problem.
    Thanks for all the input!

If you're talking about the vent, that's pretty normal.  I have to keep bits of sponge stuffed into all of my vent openings and even top side fire extinguishers/horn to keep bug nests out of them.

Tequila has larva in it, why not your water?
