I think the broker is at his limit.  I will be lucky to get a warranty.  Who would be the right person to call for structural issues?

also my surveyor is a claims specialist with Boat US, if that helps with anything.  He actually inspected a leaking fuel tank on my first boat which is how we met.

There is a 270 for sale by original owner in New York that is really nice. I put an offer on the boat. But then found the one I ended up buying local. If interested check on pop yachats. I can get you the listing if you decide on continuing your search.

There is one for sale in Pittsburgh as well. I believe it has a 6.2 with a B3 drive and a Trailmaster trailer. It has the Merlot gel on her. I can get you more info if the one you are looking at doesn't pan out.

I know  a person who had a 270 and had the boat loaded with 8 adults an one child.  He had a 270 with all the goodies including genny.  He ad a problem getting the boat to plane.  He took it to the dealer and it looked like they reversed the tabs so that the tabs on the trim tabs were facing downward instead of up.  He said it made a world of difference.  Oh yes it was the 300 mpi bravo 3..  I will see if I can find a picture of it.  I had one once.

no not that one. That one is nice but does not have the original engine.

Sorry for the gap.  Proud new owner of the 2006 270.  Ended up with a warranty that will last me part of the season.  After I got the green light from mechanic and surveyor I was sold.  Thank you everyone for your input and help.

great looking boat! Mine is the tan, would have loved to find black or blue but least I don't have all that white.....sweet! I wish you many years of happiness! Be ready, however, to get to work and learn a lot....sounds like this is your first boat of this size and I sure was in for a wake up call from my Tahoe bow rider but I'm having fun tinkering....
