Dream_Inn, I'm still waiting to hear from the boat mechanic and I don't think I will be going. Very depressing when there is an event like this and can't go. If by any chance they finish the repairs by Friday I'll be there. Let you know either way.
Heh ... my boating calendar rises and falls with the whims of DoD proposal schedules. As it turns out, the next few weeks will be bad for my boat's hour meters (but good for my wallet).
@mdboater , that is great to hear! Saturday afternoon is when the festivities will really be picking up big time. Got some games and gifts lined up as well!! Weather is still looking great.
@seadogs , looking forward to seeing you this year. Definitely missed you last year!
MissKriss, well, we are looking forward to having you back in the pond this year! hard to believe you were able to get the bearing replaced and back in the water all in one day yesterday!! I'll be seeing you in about 6 hours!!
@LaRea , I understand. I have those proposals going on right now as well. Definitely hard to compete with something that pays the bills!
Just got back from our 1st Rinkervous!!! Randy and I had a great time!!! It was so nice to meet so many great people. Thank you, John and the rest of the gang for including us:)
We just got back from our second one in three years. I would like to thank everyone for a great time. We love being there Thanks to dream inn for the generator part. We could not have had a better place to have a problem. This is a great time and you always feel like one big family before the boat is off. Thanks.
First off, let me say my doubts about it not getting better than the 10th anniversary - Christmas in July - were way off. The food...oh man. Everyone was so excited to get the food out that it was rolling out by 10am! And I had to try everything! I believe we had a total of 18 boats, and there must've been several items from each boat on average!
& after the food, the pirates attacked! Good thing every captain had the a drink from the bottle of rum!
& rum, there sure were a lot of great drinks out there this year! @seadogs pulled off the best drink, but there was a lot of competition, even from those rinker wannabees!
Speaking of, & it's great to see @johnniewalker on here now too! You are always welcome to this forum & make sure you check on here for next years Rinkervous too (& tell all your Rinker friends). & make sure you bring that pineapple colada back. That was really great!
Dream-Inn, sorry I could make it but sounds like you all had a great time. Maybe before the summer is over some of us can meet up again. Still waiting to hear when my boat will be fixed.
A bunch of us in my marina that made it up there last weekend got to relax Friday night on back of a boat and see all the pictures and videos on a tv. I'll need to see about posting some of them, especially the videos!
@Dream_Inn Looks like one heck of a time. Love to see more pics!
I was showing the admiral the photos and telling her this is a must for next year. Her question was, "where do the dogs do their business?." I assumed they ride them over the the beach. True?

OK, here is a small sample of the pictures. The aerial ones were taken from the seaplane.

@Raybo, that would be one great surprise! Just in case, next year's theme was announced as Margaritaville.
@LaRea , start planning for next year!

Does everyone have a generator?
