    @Dream_Inn for some reason a lot of people from the club have been asking for those watermelon mai tai's so pretty soon (should be in the water the next week or so) I will be heading to liquor store for a case of watermelon vodka....lol

    The bargain price I paid last week to fill up ($4.30 marine 91 ethanol free) is better than regular on the street. Admiral joked today cheaper to fill the boat than her Highlander!

    How about in the 70's when there were gas lines? While I don't want to pay any more for gas than the next, milk is still more than gas...bottle water is more than gas. Anything you can think of for the most part if you look at the increase in cost over the last 20 years, we have had it made in this country. Sucks.

    I’m always amazed that people somehow think any US President has control of gas / fuel prices.  On top of that we somehow deserve it cheap too.  

    Crude oil is a global commodity. The price can change in a minute due to speculators and current events: i.e. Ukraine.  That event at the time did not threaten supply nor cause a sudden surge in demand.  Pure futures buyers.  

    Before anyone goes down the we need to “drill more”, there are thousands of wells drilled and capped just waiting for the best market prices. On top of that, the cost to drill / frack has gone up a lot (people and equipment) so they need to be north of ~$70/bbl before it is worth the effort.  Today these guys are sitting back and raking in money.  Why bother to produce more?  They learned their lesson in the last oil price crash where many went bankrupt.
